SIMPLE
KITCHEN CLEANING TIPS
Toss out foods that have been in the pantry
too long and also the food in the fridge that has expired.
Using different sponges instead of paper
towels helps a lot with individual cleaning tasks. This will also keep germs
away. When you’re finished, you can place them in the dishwasher and re-use
them again.
Always remember to wear cleaning gloves, do
not use heavy duty cleaners, try to stick with mild or
green products.
CLEANING A STOVE
It’s always best to stay up to date when
cleaning your stove. It’s a lot easier to clean it up as it happens rather than
after.
Electric Burners and grates should be cleaned
with a wet sponge or paper towel.
Glass Cook Tops should be cleaned with a damp
sponge or rag. If you use harsh cleaners you may see scratches.
CLEANING THE OVEN
A majority of ovens are self-cleaning. Soak
the racks in water and soap while the oven self-cleans. If the oven needs to be
cleaned more thoroughly, you can purchase oven cleaner at your local store.
CLEANING THE FRIDGE
Make sure to remove all items out of the
fridge. Mix ¼ cup of baking soda and 1 quart of water, use a rag or paper
towels to wipe the walls and shelves. Dry with another towel.
CLEANING DIRTY POTS AND PANS
Many times food can leave horrible burns on
our pots and pans. The best way to get rid of it is to pour water into the
pot/pan, add soap and boil it. Once it cools down you can wipe off the excess
food easily.
MICROWAVES
Take a glass bowl and add 2 cups of water with
2 tablespoons of vinegar and microwave on high for about 3 minutes or so. Let
the bowl cool and them wipe down the microwave.
GARBAGE DISPOSALS
Throw in a couple of lemon slices into the
unit and let it run though.
KITCHEN SINK DRAINS
Mix ½ cup of baking soda and ½ cup of white
vinegar. Let the mixture sit for 5-6 minutes and flush through with boiling
water.
