EASY TIPS FOR REMOVING
STAINS
INK
Ink
can be erased with these three items: salt, baking soda, and lemon juice.
RED WINE
Red wine can be easily removed with the same
products for ink removal: salt, baking soda and lemon juice.
BLOOD STAINS
Blood stains on fabrics should be soaked in
cold salt water for about 1 hour, then wash it in warm water with your everyday
laundry detergent soap. If it is a fresh stain, use salt to cover it up and wet
it with cold water, rinse it with fresh water until the blood stain disappears.
CANDLE WAX
Place an ice cube on the wax, remove it with a
dull knife and get rid of any remaining wax by placing a paper bag flat over
the spot, press hard all over the area with a warm iron then the wax will melt
onto the paper.
RUST
Salt and vinegar work well to remove rust off
of fabric. Combine both products and place it on top of the stained area. Lay
the fabric out in the sun, if this isn’t an option, stretch it over a bowl and
pour hot water on top of the stain.
MILDEW
Mix lemon juice and salt, spread this on the
stain, rinse it with water then dry it. You can also use salt, vinegar and
water.
JUICE, COFFEE AND TEA REMOVAL
Soak the stain in vinegar and water and rinse
with water.
